I joined the fire service when I was only 17 and many veteran fire fighters took me under their wing and taught me how to handle the many situations I would encounter in my career. The most difficult part of the job, for me, is seeing these senior fire fighters hang up their helmet and boots for the last time. I owe a lot of people a big thank you for helping me along in my career.
